EM

Emma McGillivray (Em) is the owner, founder, and main teacher at The Chapel Studio. Yoga has been a grounding force in her life since her years living in Australia, where she first discovered its power to bring calm, strength, and balance.

Since returning to the Isle of Wight, Em has built a warm and welcoming yoga community at The Chapel Studio, a space created to bring people together through mindful movement and connection. Her classes are known for being down-to-earth, inclusive, and full of good energy, it’s not about fancy leggings or being the perfect yogi, it’s about showing up, keeping it real, and often having a good giggle along the way.

Em teaches four styles of yoga to suit all levels and needs: Beginner Foundation, Hatha Flow, Dynamic Energising Flow, and Men’s Yoga. Her goal is simple, to make yoga accessible, enjoyable, and real for everyone who steps onto the mat.

ROSIE

Rosie Drake-Amery is a yoga teacher who loves exploring how mindful movement, intentional living, and sustainable practices all connect. Recently qualified and trained under the same teacher as Em, she brings a fresh, energetic approach to her classes.

Rosie likes to keep things light, joyful, and grounded, creating space for presence, curiosity, and connection both on and off the mat. Balance is a big theme in her teaching, finding strength, stability, and flow in the body, and cultivating calm, awareness, and grounded energy in life.

Her style sits somewhere between Hatha and Dynamic flow with an uplifting blend that builds strength, stability, and fluidity. A little experience is recommended, as Rosie’s classes are designed to energise the body while inviting awareness and ease.

KAT

We’re delighted to welcome Kat Harding to our studio teaching team. A dedicated yoga instructor with global experience across England, Greece, Croatia, Mexico, the Maldives, Australia, and New Zealand, Kat brings a depth of knowledge shaped by the many communities she has taught within—including collaborations with Wanderlust and her time as a lululemon Ambassador.

Kat shares her expertise with us through nourishing Yin Yoga events, guiding students to slow down, settle close to the earth, and experience the stillness that comes from long-held, supported postures. She also hosts our Rise & Shine Saturday morning sessions from time to time, offering an energising, breath-led start to the weekend.

With extensive training in yin, hatha, prana vinyasa, SUP yoga, yoga therapy, and pre/postnatal yoga, Kat’s teaching is playful, grounding, and deeply connected to the power of the breath. As a mother of two, she understands the value of balance and self-nourishment—an understanding that infuses every class she leads.

Join Kat on the mat and experience her warm, steady guidance and her heartfelt approach to both stillness and flow.
